Lazy Saturday

Today we did pretty much nothing...we played in the backyard, watched Disney's Tarzan movie and took naps. I LOVE Saturdays.

The weather is starting to change up here...high today of only 61 degrees. I love the fall season and all it brings...cool crisp air, sweatshirts & jeans, football season and our anniversary just to name a few.

Note: Justin is NOT as sober as he appears. :)

ScrapFest 2007

This past weekend at the Mall of America was ScrapFest 2007 hosted by Archiver's...a Minnesota photo memory store. The first Archiver's store was opened in 1999 I believe and now this company has completely EXPLODED with numerous stores nationwide and still growing. I first started going to Archiver's back in 2000 at their 1st store in Apple Valley. The event draws hundreds of obsessed scrapbooking geeks like myself from all over the country.

I love scrapbooking..it's my hobby, my creative outlet and a way for me to preserve all the wonderful memories of my life.

I want to share a fun project that I completed this past weekend (the pictures shown here are just a few pages from the album). I took a class by Elsie Flannigan, a well-known name in the industry, called Travel Love. Elsie actually taught the class which was so fun and one of the reasons why I signed up for the class. She is sweet, a bit shy, cute as a button and amazingly creative. (http://abeautifulmess.typepad.com/) I took the class because I wanted to expand my scrapbooking skills...and Elsie's work is so "out of my comfort zone" in how I scrapbook. Needless to say, I am THRILLED with my little album. (The album is a trip I took to Tallahassee back in Fall 2005 with Ann, Sara and Jen.)

Finally...A Haircut

Finally...a haircut for Michael's mop! Cousin Crystal came over and cut Michael's hair out in the backyard. He looks like a different boy! He did really good and with a mouthful of chocolate he gave Crystal a big hug and thank you! :) Pics taken: 09.03.07

Michael Models

I wanted to get another shot of Michael's cheek today so I told him to show me his "tough man" pose. Then I got his "goofy" face along with a sweet picture of him and Porter. My little model Michael. :) Pics taken: 09.03.07

Face Plant!

Poor Michael took a face plant down the back porch steps on Sunday night. He landed cheek first with no time to get his hands out in front of him. He's got a good road rash on his left cheek. I guess this is minor compared to his broken leg last fall...but I also know it's just a preview of more to come from my little boy! Pics taken: 09.02.07

First Video - Justin Talking & "Flubbering"

Ok, so this is my first attempt at uploading a video to the blog. This is SO cool! Don't worry, my next one will be shot the right way so you don't have to tilt your heads to view. Ha! :)
