Smile Boys

Trying to get two boys to smile at the same time can be a challenge - here they are enjoying some tummy time together!

Justin's Play Mat

This play mat/blanket was a gift from Aunt Annie (Wooten) in Florida. Now that Justin is starting to roll over he can play with all the fun little gadgets on the blanket. Michael wanted to join in on the fun too...so I was able to get some great pictures!

Exersaucin'

Here is Justin in his new get-up, the Exersaucer. He enjoys it for about 15 minutes and then it's time to get out. He can't really get a good grab on the toys yet to chew on but once he does then I'm sure he'll enjoy it alot more. :)

Brothers Like No Others

Michael has really started to engage and interact with Justin - it's a treat to watch! He holds him more now and loves to make him giggle and laugh. Justin watches him all the time with these adoring eyes. :)

Will it always be this smooth? I imagine not, but for the time being we will enjoy it and count our blessings. Pics taken: 8.25.07

I Love You Mommy!

After a day at Como Zoo, Michael said ever so sweetly..."I Love You Mommy." Melts my heart... Pic taken: 8.24.07

I'm 5 Months Old Today!

Here is Justin, 5 months old, and worn out from a day at Como Zoo!

Lions & Monkeys at Como Zoo

Giraffe Riding at Como Zoo

Como Zoo

I had the day off of work on Friday, August 24th so we decided to spend it at Como Zoo in St. Paul. It was a BEAUTIFUL day out...one of the first in a week where we didn't have overcast skies and rain.

I borrowed a double stroller from Geri and it worked out perfect...Justin in front and Michael riding shotgun in the back. We met my friend Kate there with her two daughters, Stella and Abbigayle and a neighbor friend of Stella's, Anna. Stella is 5 months older than Micheal and Justin & Abby are only 3 weeks apart.

We saw lions, zebras, giraffes, sea lions, penguins, polar bears...it's a small zoo, free to the public (though a small donation is asked) and is the perfect size for a few hours of fun.

Coming Soon...Teeth

Still no teeth for Justin but they have got to be coming VERY soon. Here is CHOMPING and CHEWING on his monkey from his play gym. His pink cheeks and constant drooling tell us that they should be coming soon! Pics taken: 8.20.07

I See Me!

"Here I Am, I See Me!" says Justin. :) Pics taken: 8.19.07

Father & Son Naptime

I couldn't resist taking a picture of these two during their little naptime. They were both zonked out cold! Pics taken: 8.18.07

Michael "Fast Asleep"

Michael is really good these days at pretending. Here he is "fast asleep" at Geri's house (our daycare provider). Such a goof! Pics taken: 8.17.07

Justin's Eyes

As the only blue-eyed person in my family, I was hoping that Justin's eyes would stay blue. But after I saw this picture and looked closer, it appears that they, too, will be a hazel color. Blues, greens and browns all mixed in! :)

Sweet Faces

I took these pictures on Saturday, August 11th when we were at Aunt Diane's house by the pool. They turned out so sweet...if I do say so myself! :)

Gotta Grab It!

Justin was obsessed with the little tag that was on his bouncy chair. He worked so hard at grabbing it - and succeeded! Check out the rolls on this little chubster!

Summer Swimmin'

Michael LOVES to swim at the Auntie's pool. This past Saturday, August 11th, it was a particularly hot day so it was the best place to be! We put this "swimsuit" on him and he was able to swim all around by himself (but always with Mommy's watchful eye). He enjoyed swimming with Leevoice (school buddy of Aunt Joanne's) and his cousin, Nico, and throwing the rockets in the pool...that they had to then dive and retrieve. You just gotta love summer swimmin!

Bumbo Boy

My coworker, Tina, borrowed me this Bumbo and I have to say it's a great invention! Justin LOVES sitting in it and giggles and laughs...but after about 15 minutes I think his chubster belly gets in the way and he starts to fuss. But at least for those 15 minutes or so he gets to look around and see things from a new perspective!

My First Feeding

Justin got his first taste of cereal on July 30th. He really wasn't quite sure what to think of it?! He ate a few bites and then proceeded to shut his mouth tight when I brought the spoon up to it - ha!

But since then he's taken to liking it more and more...plus I'm now adding in some fruits and veggies. I started feeding him solids because the formula was just not filling him up. He'd want to eat every 2 hours and he drinks 6 oz at a pop! Boy he likes his food! It doesn't show though does it? :)
