Halloween 2008 - Party on Marie Avenue

Justin was an adorable Bat and for the first time Mommy didn't get to choose Michael's costume. Michael was the blue Power Ranger..."with the Jaguar animal spirit". :)We went to the South St. Paul Halloween Party that is located a mere 1/2 block from our house! It's wonderful - local businesses including the fire department have a block party and give out candy for the kids. The boys loved looking at all the other kids' costumes. We went to th party with our former neighbors, Chris and Stephanie, and their two boys Collin and Chase. Michael and Collin (aka Iron Man) were "saving the day" the entire night.

My Best Buddy Sammy

Michael and Sammy are a mere 10 days apart and they are best buds. Sammy's mom, Jacq, and I enjoy scheduling play dates for the two boys. They love playing with their Hot Wheels, shooting basketballs, chasing eachother and rowdy boy fun! Oh yeah...and the boys will give hugs but NOT give up their basketballs! Too cute!
I absolutely adore the first picture of them and remember like it was yesterday when we'd sit them side by side in their baby carriers. Ahhhh....they grow up so fast! :)

Tina's Birthday

We celebrated my friend & coworker Tina's birthday tonight! She was thrilled with her gift from Tiffani and I - Dance Dance Revolution for her new Wii. We stopped by her parent's house to say hi to her kids (adorable Ava pictured here!) and then her dad was kind of enough to be our chauffeur for the night! We had such a fun night - good dinner, music and lots of dancing. Look forward to our next Girls Night Out (although a little less on the shots ladies....)!!!

The First Big Snowfall

Yesterday we welcomed in our first big snowfall of the season. It hit hard and fast and dumped at least 4-6 inches on us here in the metro area. I love watching the first snowfall ... there is something almost tranquil about it. Plus, it really helps you get into the holiday spirit!
Today Michael and I went outside to shovel and play while Justin took his morning nap. (Kevin was at the Vikings game but not to worry...I left plenty more shoveling for him to do when he got home. Ha!) We had a blast and our little neighbor boy, Colin (2 years old), came over to play too. They had fun throwing snowballs, making snow angels and just running around. It was great fun and I know Michael will be anxious to get out in it again.

Como Zoo

I had the day off of work on Friday, August 24th so we decided to spend it at Como Zoo in St. Paul. It was a BEAUTIFUL day out...one of the first in a week where we didn't have overcast skies and rain.
I borrowed a double stroller from Geri and it worked out perfect...Justin in front and Michael riding shotgun in the back. We met my friend Kate there with her two daughters, Stella and Abbigayle and a neighbor friend of Stella's, Anna. Stella is 5 months older than Micheal and Justin & Abby are only 3 weeks apart.
We saw lions, zebras, giraffes, sea lions, penguins, polar bears...it's a small zoo, free to the public (though a small donation is asked) and is the perfect size for a few hours of fun.

Monica's 10th Birthday

We celebrated Monica Warner's 10th birthday with her at Al Baker's in Eagan on Thursday, July 19th. I can't believe she's already 10 - she's grown up into such a wonderful young girl. Jake, her brother, is also in the pic and he'll be 7 in September. They are really great kids and we enjoy spending time with them. :)

CHEERS! "Juice Buddies"

Today my friend Jacq and her son Sammy came over for a day of playing! Michael and Sammy are only a mere 10 days apart in age and get along really well. They are both "ALL BOY" and enjoying playing outside together. It's fun to have them over and we look forward to doing it again!
The pictures included are the two boys being "Juice Buddies" and saying "CHEERS" with their cups!
